Call to Order

April 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Roll Call

Members Present: Leesa Fitch, Martha Schmidt, Cheri Chandler, Catherine Wasmer,  Deb Rogers, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid. 

Approval of the last meeting and action

Ms Chandler moved to accept the March minutes. Seconded by Ms Fitch. Motion approved.

Approval of Financial Position & Activity

Ms Chandler moved to accept the March Financial Position & Activity Report. Seconded by Ms Rogers. Motion approved. 

Approval of Check Registry

Ms Wasmer moved to accept the March Check Registry. Seconded by Ms Abel. Motion approved. 

Correspondence

We will receive Charlie Carter’s donation of brass statues in May.

Director’s Report

• eBook legislation passed by the Senate is currently in the House. 
• Working with Mendota Museum and DAR for the 250th birthday of USA
• Beginning visits with schools. Jen and Carolynn visit junior high classes monthly.

Committee Reports

Personnel & Policy Committee met prior to board meeting. 

Old Business

New Business

Personnel and Policy Committee presented the updates to policies. Policies that were voted to  update: 

• Computer Use / Internet Policy
• Freedom of Information Act
• Purchasing Policy
• Investment of Public Funds

Closed Session

Not necessary.

Ms. Rogers moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 pm. Seconded by Ms. Fitch. Motion approved.
