Call to Order

May 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Roll Call

Members Present: Leesa Fitch, Martha Schmidt, Cheri Chandler, Catherine Wasmer,  Deb Rogers, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid. 

Approval of the last meeting and action

Ms Rogers moved to accept the April minutes. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved.

Approval of Financial Position & Activity

Ms Chandler moved to accept the April Financial Position & Activity Report. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved. 

Approval of Check Registry

Ms Chandler moved to accept the April Check Registry. Seconded by Ms Fitch. Motion approved. 

Correspondence

Janet McDermot is donating $50,000 to the Library. She lived in Mendota and worked at the Carnegie Library. 

Director’s Report

• We are losing two employees and will be revising some of the responsibilities of different positions

New Business

Ms Chandler moved to accept the Unattended Children Policy. Seconded by Ms Rogers. Motion approved via roll call vote. 

Ms Wasmer moved to accept the Sex Offender Policy. Seconded by Ms Fitch. Motion approved via roll call vote. 

Ms Chandler moved to accept the Graves-Hume Public Library District Code of Conduct. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved via roll call vote.

Not necessary.

Ms. Chandler moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:01 pm. Seconded by Ms. Fitch. Motion approved.
