Call to Order
March 10, 2025 at 7:00 PM.
Roll Call
Members Present: Nancy Jackson, Deb Rogers, Martha Schmitt, Catherine Wasmer, Kim Abel, Cheri Chandler and Library Director Emily Kofoid. Members Online: Adriana Calamaco.
Approval of the Last Meeting Minutes
Ms. Jackson moved we accept the March minutes. Seconded by Ms. Chandler. Motion approved.
Approval of Financial Position & Activity
Ms. Chandler moved we accept the March Financial Position & Activity Report. Seconded by Ms. Rogers. Motion approved.
Approval of Check Registry
Ms. Chandler moved we approve the March Check Registry. Seconded by Ms. Jackson. Motion approved.
Correspondence
Received and discussed letter from Secretary of State.
Director’s Report
- $2000 grant was received to purchase Science Kits for youth.
- $400 was received in donations for Launch Pads donated by Lion’s Club, Knights of Columbus, Edward Jones and Meriden Grain.
- Work has begun on the Summer Reading Program.
Committee Reports
- Reminder the Personnel and Policy Committee will meet at 6pm before the May board meeting. (Martha, Kim and Nancy)
Old Business
No old business to discuss.
New Business
- Ms Jackson moved we accept the lowest bid for the roof - $124,040 from Sterling Commercial Roofing. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved.
- Ms Chandler moved we accept the lowest bid for the bathroom remodeling of $164,700 from Liebhart Construction. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved.
