Board of Trustees Meeting

April 11, 2024

  1. The Board of Trustees of the Graves Hume Public Library met at 7 pm. Board members physically present were Martha Schmitt online, Deb Rogers, Nancy Jackson, Cheri Chandler, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid.
  2. Ms Jackson moved we accept the February and March board minutes. Seconded by Ms
  3. Chandler. Motion approved.
  4. Ms Chandler moved we approve the February and March Treasurer’s Report. Seconded by Ms. Rogers. Motion approved.
  5. Ms Jackson moved we approve the February and March Check Registry. Seconded by Ms Chandler. Motion approved.
  6. Correspondence: None
  7. Director’s Report: Working on Summer Reading Program. Presented ideas for book drop off and sitting area in front. Ms Abel moved we use $7875 from Hume Trust Fund for cement needed for those projects. Discussion of getting handicap accessible table for sitting area. The back parking lot needs repair. Will need to obtain bids as will cost over $25,000.
  8. Committees: Personnel and Policy will meet before the May 9 meeting to discuss salaries.

  12. Ms Jackson moved the meeting to adjourn at 7:47pm. Seconded by Ms Abel. Motion
