  3. The Board of Trustees of the Graves Hume Public Library met at 7:00 pm. Board members physically present were Martha Schmitt, Nancy Jackson, Cherie Chandler, Catherine Wasmer, Deb Rogers, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid.
  4. Ms Jackson moved we accept the November board minutes. Seconded by Ms Chandler. Motion approved.
  5. Ms Chandler moved we approve the November and December Treasurer's Report. Seconded by Ms. Rogers. Motion approved.
  6. Ms Chandler moved we approve the November and December Check Registry. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved.
  7. Correspondence: None
  8. Director’s Report:
    • There was a good turnout for the Christmas party at the library.
    • Tom Sullivan, bank staff in charge of Hume Trust, recommends we invest $20,000 in bonds. Board asked director to clarify some questions.
  9. Committees: No Committee reports
  10. Old Business:
    • Personnel and Policy Committee will need to investigate standardizing employee raises.
  11. New Business:
    • Board agreed to ask our bookkeeper to submit a report to the State Comptroller. Board reviewed the report and made a motion to submit the report to the Comptroller. Ms Chandler moved to make the motion to submit the report to the Comptroller. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Roll Call vote by President Schmitt. Ms Jackson = Yes. Ms Chandler = Yes. Ms Abel = Yes. Ms Wasmer = Yes. Ms Rogers = Yes. Ms Schmitt = Yes.
    • Due to our smaller size, an audit is not required. Discussion of how often we should do a compilation or audit. Our last audit was when Ms Kofoid became our new librarian

  14. Ms Jackson moved the meeting adjourned at 7:43 pm. Seconded by Ms Rogers. Motion approved.
