Board of Trustees Meeting

Graves Hume Public Library

January 9, 2025

  1. The Board of Trustees of the Graves Hume Public Library met at 7:00 pm.  Board members physically present were Nancy Jackson, Deb Rogers, Martha Schmitt, Catherine Wasmer, Cheri Chandler, Adriana Calamaco, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid
  2. Ms Chandler moved we accept the November and December Financial Position & Activity Report board minutes. Seconded by Ms Wasmer.  Motion approved.  
  3. Ms Wasmer moved we approve the November and December Check Registry.  Seconded by Ms Rogers.  Motion approved.  
  4. Correspondence: none
  5. Director’s Report:
    1. There will be an Anxiety Workshop for grades 1-6 and their caregivers.
    2. Jen Bresley is taking a sign language course.
    3. Working with the U of I on offering a Workout Program for Seniors – including brain, dietary and sleep health.
  6. Committee Reports: none
  7. Old Business:  none
  8. New Business:
    1. Board Members discussed the “Serving Our Public Standards for Public Libraries”
  9. No Closed Session.     No visitors were present.
  10. Ms Chandler moved meeting adjourn at 8:12pm.  Seconded by Ms Jackson.  Motion approved.
