Board of Trustees Meeting

Graves-Hume Public Library District

March 12, 2026

Call to Order

March 12, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Roll Call

Members Present: Leesa Fitch, Cheri Chandler, Catherine Wasmer,  Deb Rogers, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid. 

Approval of the last meeting and action

Ms Chandler moved to accept the February minutes. Seconded by Ms Rogers. Motion approved.

Approval of Financial Position & Activity

Ms Wasmer moved to accept the February Financial Position & Activity Report. Seconded by Ms Rogers. Motion approved. Ms Abel suggested we move accounts from First Federal (recently closed Mendota location) to Midland Bank so we will have accounts at every bank in town. 

Approval of Check Registry

Ms Wasmer moved to accept the February Check Registry. Seconded by Ms Fitch. Motion approved. 

Correspondence

None.

Director’s Report

• Director Kofoid will be attending the ‘Director’s University 2.0’ for four days in April.
• Discussion of HB 5236 - law would make the cost of ebooks and audiobooks more affordable for libraries. Director Kofoid will share information with patrons and encourage contacting their representatives. 

Committee Reports

Personnel & Policy Committee set a time to meet for policy reviews on Thursday, April 9 at 6pm. 

Old Business

Ms Wasmer contacted Charlie Carter to confirm he will be donating the bronze sculptures and covering the cost. 

New Business

None.
