Call to Order
May 08, 2025 at 7:00 PM.
Roll Call
Members Present: Nancy Jackson, Martha Schmitt, Catherine Wasmer, Kim Abel, Cheri Chandler and Library Director Emily Kofoid.
Approval of the Last Meeting Minutes
Ms. Chandler moved we accept the April minutes. Seconded by Ms. Wasmer. Motion approved.
Approval of Financial Position & Activity
Ms. Abel moved we accept the April Financial Position & Activity Report. Seconded by Ms. Wasmer. Motion approved.
Approval of Check Registry
Ms. Chandler moved we approve the April Check Registry. Seconded by Ms. Wasmer. Motion approved.
Correspondence
LaSalle county confirmed our board members were elected.
Director’s Report
- Contracts were signed for bathroom remodeling. Will have porta-potties during construction.
- Ms Wasmer moved to update budget to move money from account lines to different account lines as was presented by Director Kofoid. Seconded by Ms Chandler. Motion approved.
Committee Reports
- Personnel and Policy Committee met before board meeting to review policies and updated as needed.
Old Business
- Ms Chandler moved we approve the changes to the Loan Regulation Policy. Seconded by Ms Wasmer. Motion approved via roll call vote.
- Ms Wasmer moved we approve the changes to the Freedom of Information Act. Seconded by Ms Chandler. Motion approved via roll call vote.
New Business
- Agreed upon that the non-residential fee for 2025 will not be raised. Vote on ordinance will take place next meeting.
- Working budget not ready for discussion.
