Graves Hume Public Library

November 14,2024

  1. The Board of Trustees of the Graves Hume Public Library met at 7:00 pm. Board members physically present were Nancy Jackson, Deb Rogers, Martha Schmitt, Catherine Wasmer, Cheri Chandler, Kim Abel, and Library Director Emily Kofoid. Adriana Calamaco was present online.
  2. Ms Wasmer moved we accept the October board minutes as corrected. Seconded by Ms Rogers. Motion approved.
  3. Ms Jackson moved we approve the October Financial Position & Activity Report. Seconded by Ms. Chandler. Motion approved.
  4. Ms Wasmer moved we approve the October Check Registry. Seconded by Ms Abel. Motion approved.
  5. Correspondence: none
  6. Director’s Report:
    1. *Proposal from Spring Valley to do library website and to ensure that we meet accessibility standards.
    2. *Ms Hermosillo has resigned as bookkeeper. Pam Gonigam, a CPA will take over.
    3. * No updates on remodeling.
    4. *Jen Bresley and Director Kofoid are writing grants to purchase books, games, kits, and activities.

  9. New Business:
    1. *The board will not meet in December.
  10. No Closed Session. No visitors were present.
  11. Ms Chandler moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:27pm. Seconded by Ms Jackson. Motion approved.
